DVLA Codes

On the 8th June 2015 UK law regarding driving licences changed and the paper part of your driving licence is no longer valid.

Vehicle hire companies are now required to check a drivers offences by looking online at the DVLA website. Without this check the driver cannot be insured to drive the vehicle.  In order for us to check your offences online, you have to go to the DVLA website and generate a code that we enter when we do the check. This code is only valid for 21 days after it has been generated.

ALL drivers who are to be named on a Gigwheels Ltd hire agreement MUST obtain a licence check code no more than 21 days before the start of your hire.
